Summer ending

Well summer is starting to come to a close. I am not sure I am ready for the hustle bustle of the school year. But I guess I have to be. We will start school on Aug. 18 with enrollment on Aug. 7. I am not really sure how the summer got away from us and we did not even make it on some kind of day trip or vacation. But that is OK. We never go on vacation anyways. lol Charles' job always prevents us from going anywhere during the summer. But this year I thought it would be different since the busy time with the new job is during the winter when we have snow. Maybe we can still take Boomer some place before school starts. Not holding my breath. lol I can not believe that my 'baby' is going to be in 7th grade. Where does the years go... Charles was saying yea and the next thing we know he will be in high school. I told him to stop right there and not say that word again. rofl I am wondering how the roads and things are out during the snow and ice. Hopefully they keep the roads out here pretty clear since this is a well (well kind of) traveled road. The last time we lived in the country. We was snow bound and stuck for a day or two and could not get out to go anywhere. Well Charles did because the feed yard that he worked for would bring a big tractor and come and get him. We have only seen one snake here since we have been here and it scared the crap out of me. It was laying on the cement against my deck. I stepped over it and did not notice it until I was letting the dogs back in. I was like crap! That thing could have got me and I would not have known it. LOL So kind of leery about what to expect come fall. We got our first break form the heat today. It was really nice, but it was humid. We was at 83, but tomorrow the temps start going back up and then we will have to give in to the ac in order to survive. lol
